Developed in the early 1990s by the Yakovlev Aircraft Corporation, the Yak 54 sports aerobatic plane was a natural successor to the aerobatic world championship winning Yak 55 of the 1980s, designed to counter efforts by rival Soviet aircraft designer Sukhoi. Now you can counter the efforts of your clubmates by putting the Black Horse Yak 54 through its paces. Designed expressly for popular 26-30cc size engines, this exciting new model has performance to rival its full-size counterpart, the only limiting factor being the skill of the pilot.

Manufactured from balsa and plywood components and utilising the very latest CNC technology, the resultant airframe is both extremely lightweight and tremendously strong - just like the original. Finished by hand using Oracover, the scheme is both highly attractive and visible.

Black Horse Yak-54 features hugely powerful control surfaces, a two piece wing wing for easy transportation and a strong aluminium joining tube to ensure perfect alignment. There is no question regarding the quality and capability of this model - the question is, can it find a pilot to match?
